It’s a rare and wonderful day to have a delicious dessert that is inexpensive without feeling cheap. This is a true spot to take the family and everybody comes away happy. There will almost certainly be a line, but it moves fast, so not much waiting. And it’s a great vibe. Walk to the counter, order, pay, and grab your food at the next. The place is almost always bumping, so it’s unlikely you’ll be able to sit down. Honestly though, you’re in PB. There are almost limitless numbers of excellent places to walk.

I don’t know Mr. Frostie’s first name. Maybe it’s Francis. Maybe it’s Jean-Paul. Maybe his first name is actually Mister. Is he even real? What nationality is the surname “Frostie”? These are questions the average customer might brush past, but not me. You can’t distract me from the truth with delicious ice cream. Upon combing through the Mr. Frostie website, you will find that there is no information on this Frostie fellow. We’re told that the current owners aren’t the original owners, so the origin of the Frostie name is either a secret or it’s lost in time. And of course, there’s the possibility that Mr. Frostie is merely the mascot and nothing else. But does it make sense? Would an anthropomorphic ice cream cone be the guiding force behind an ice cream shop? Isn’t that a conflict of interest? Anyway, I had the Hot Fudge Cake. My wife had the Dirt Cup. They were delicious. The Hot Fudge Cake was the better option, in my opinion. She disagrees.

I swung by this ice cream shop last weekend and honestly, it was a pretty nice experience. The place has a cozy vibe, and the staff were friendly, greeting everyone with smiles. I tried the salted caramel and cookies & cream, and both flavors were smooth and creamy without being overly sweet. The portions felt fair for the price too. It’s not a huge spot, but it’s perfect if you’re just looking for a casual treat. I’ll probably come back next time I’m in the area, especially on a hot day.

Went to Mr. Frostie today and the flavor selection was amazing: pistachio, dole whip, mango, etc. a small cone was ~2.50 which I think is very reasonable and my sandwich was nine dollars which is good for an on the go meal. Everything was absolutely delicious, we got a mango pineapple swirl cone.

My husband and I are in San Diego for a few days. We were craving ice cream but didn't know the best place to go. After finding Mr. Frostie on Google, we headed there. What a gem this place is! My husband had one of the best-looking, tastiest banana boats he has ever had. I ordered the chocolate cake hot fudge. It was so good! The ice cream is creamy and good, the hot fudge was delicious and generous, and the chocolate cake was moist and good. We almost passed this place by because it's so small. I'm glad we didn't! If we ever return to San Diego, we will visit here again! Who knows, maybe we'll go again for ice cream before we head back to Missouri! Edit: We visited a second time, and it was just as delicious as the first! My husband got the "banana boat", and I got the "fudge-ana". We just discovered they also have sandwiches. Another customer told us their chili dogs are the bomb! We'll try that next visit!

We have been going here for over 40 years. We brought our 3 sons after swim lessons. Now our grandchildren enjoy coming with us. The soft serve is creamy and they serve generous portions. Good variety of menu choices and I highly recommend the peanut butter milkshake. Try one of their many great sandwiches aa well.

Stopped by Mr. Frosty in Pacific Beach on a Sunday afternoon, and even though there were about 10 people in line, it moved surprisingly fast. They have a great variety of cold desserts to choose from, which makes it fun for both kids and adults. I ordered the twist, and it was really good — creamy, smooth, and refreshing, especially on a warm day. Great spot for a casual dessert in PB, and I’d definitely come back again.
